Disregarding stop sign
Location: northern kentucky
Hi,
Recently was pulled over for failure to come to a complete stop at stop sign. Entering residential area, i thought i had stopped and then turned right. Got halfway down the street before noticing the blue lights. Pulled over, officer comes right out and says so i pulled you over for not coming to a complete stop. I said huh? They said yeah you rolled through it, i said did i? So i gave my license , showed insurance. They took it and came back with a $20 fine plus $134 court cost. Said if i wanted to go to court for it its on this date and circled.
It says video evidence on the bottom of the ticket, can i request it before court to see if i actually didnt stop? Should i just show up to court? Idk how it works. As far as i can remember i only was pulled over once for turning left at a no left outlet when i had my intermediate phase license 13 years ago. No fine maybe just a warning i cant remember. And had a fine from new jersey for accidentally passing toll using pre pay lane “gps told me stay left and i thought i would be turning off or something to avoid toll”
What should i do or can expect by going to the court date provided on ticket?
