Medal Spending

Just wondering if im spending my medals from the events correctly.

At the minuite I tend to buy whatever relics are available first, then themes for the passive coin boost and then drop whatever I have left into golden bot. Is this the best use of them? Should I be trying to buy all the stones that are available too?

I assume the gem option is pretty worthless because of how easy they are to get from other places
