[Android][2016] Sci-fi survival game, vertical UI, crash landing in escape pod, no direct movement, crafting/management through menus
Hi everyone, I’m trying to find an old Android game I played years ago (probably around 2014–2018). I’ve been searching for a long time but can’t find it.
🎮 What I remember:
Platform: Android
Genre: sci-fi survival / crafting / resource management
View: 2D, vertical screen (portrait mode)
No direct character movement — everything is done through UI actions and menus
🚀 Story / intro:
The game starts with a cutscene of a spaceship crash / escape pod landing on an unknown planet. After that, you survive on this alien planet.
I usually skipped the story, so I don’t remember details, but the theme was definitely sci-fi and survival.
⚙️ Gameplay:
Everything is done through menus and buttons, something like:
“Collect metal”
“Explore area”
“Craft tool”
“Build generator”
Inventory / health / crafting / location screens
There were multiple UI tabs/windows:
crafting menu
inventory
health/status
location exploration
No walking around freely like in normal survival games.
🎨 Visuals:
More serious sci-fi style (not pixel art, not cartoonish)
Pretty polished UI for a mobile game
Alien planet with strange environment (I remember some organic / red plant-like visuals)
🧠 Icon / memory:
This is very important:
The app icon was something like:
a white mask or face
on a red background
possibly with organic / plant-like red shapes growing around it
❗ What it is NOT:
Not Lifeline (too text-based)
Not Crashlands (you directly control character)
Not Out There (no direct UI crafting like this)
🙏 Extra info:
No heavy monetization (or at least I don’t remember ads/donations being obvious)
Game felt more like a complete premium indie experience
Possibly removed from Play Store now
If anyone remembers a game like this, I’d really appreciate help. I’ve been stuck trying to find it for a long time.
