Apex 2 Pro hr monitor, sleep tracking, battery life, and more gone after update!

My Apex 2 Pro has been awesome! I've owned it for 2 years and would recommend it to any runner....until recently. I seems that with the latest update it blitzed my HR monitor, sleep tracking, vibration alerts, and battery life. It's utility has plummeted and I'm left thinking that I'd have been better off buying a cheap Garmin or something else if its going to die after 2 years. I've done the full reset a number of times, cleaned it with a good water soak, made sure my skin is clean adjusted the tightness of the band to no avail. I've sent in a customer service request. Are others having any luck in getting their watches to work again?
