Newly diagnosed, need advise on how to deal with auras

Question

I was diagnosed with epilepsy this past week after having a seizure at the ER and I'm having a weird time figuring out how to deal with how bad/weird I feel after having an aura.

Some background, last year I had a brain abscess that caused me to pass out and seize, but between now and after my surgery I hadn't experienced really anything other than occasionally my hand would feel a little strange, mainly when taking a shower. Fast forward to this past monday my hand suddenly started spasming and hurting so I went to the ER as it had done something similar which led to discovering the abscess. after I was fixed up, the neurologist told me that as a result of the damage left from the abscess, I have a very specific and relatively easy to control case of epilepsy and that I had been probably having small auras whenever I felt weird or anxious about when my hand did feel a little strange and may have been overstimulating the damaged part of my brain.

Today at work I started to have what I'm pretty sure was an aura, as for the past couple days I've felt great and have been adjusting to my keppra prescription well (was having a hard time with being crazy tired and stomach issues in the beginning but it seemed to sort itself out) but now feel like I did after leaving the ER.

Any tips on how to deal with the after effects? Eating something has seemed to help out a lot, and taking a nap did help with my anxiety a bit but I've been having a time figuring out what's the result of the aura and what's just me being anxious over the potential of another seizure, or what's the result of my meds since it's only been a week.
