Cross progression question

So way back when I linked my hitman 1 account (Xbox) to hitman 2 on epic games because it was exclusive to epic at the time.
I lost my exclusive coin and black winter coat now because I’m on steam and have used my one time link.
I’ve now signed up for cross progression making steam active and linking Xbox & epic. It says in T&C’s cosmetics will be shared if they aren’t platform exclusive yet I can’t see my old cosmetics on my active account.

Is this right?

Ps. Years ago I asked IOI if I could re link or something to gain my old cosmetics to which they said no.
