Just finished watching Karuppu. As a commercial movie fan, I let hype, expectations, and excitement fester for over a month before finally being able to watch this movie as SOON as it came to OTT. What struck me immediately was the writing and how horrible it was. Several questions plagued my mind while watching the film, but these are just a few.

1) Why did Karuppu care about Baby Kanna 's "sathyam" and why did he abide by it if he's literally God himself?

2) Why did Karuppu's "ellai," or his field of power, extend to only the areas near the court? Were there ***NO*** other Karuppu statues or temples in all of Tamilnadu?

3) Why didn't Karuppu stop all of the injuries and deaths when the court was breaking down? He could've stopped those kids like he stopped the Leo crime and all of the other ones.

4) Why did Karuppu wear the Singam get-up at the end? I get that it's a mass moment, but from a writing perspective, he could've just shown up as himself, considering there was a Karuppu statue outside the new modern court.

I know I'm going to get heavily downvoted for this, but the writing in the movie was just god-awful. And yes, I know that the film is a commercial entertainer, but what happened to the time when even masala movies had good writing? Is this what we have to expect from commercial movies now?
