im an incoming senior in high school. in freshman year, i dated a weird, gross, childish sophomore online who lived on the other side of the state from me. ive been in a happy relationship with a new person for almost 2 years now, and i've been no contact with the ex for longer than we ever dated for.

today, i checked his instagram to show him to one of my friends while we were talking. in the past, he took a very long time to get over me and posted a song about how much he wanted to touch, kiss, and call me, and he posted it months after the breakup on my birrhday. i just wanted to show my friend his old posts about the song so i could make her feel less alone because shes in a similar situation. thats what i thought, anyways. turns out, he's still not over me! hes actually MOVING TO MY CITY to go to college! and sure. whatever. thats not so bad. except his instagram page is FULL of "inside jokes" and references to me without directly stating my name. he visited my state (to tour the college, i assume) and in his post about his trip, he added a photo of himself STANDING OUTSIDE MY HIGH SCHOOL. my high school that is HALF AN HOUR away from the area he was in. there is no way hes coming to my city just to go to college.

i feel sick to my stomach and idk what to do because i thought i would never have to worry about this guy again. my parents dont know anything about him and im too afraid to tell them because i dont really feel supported by them. i dont really want to say anything more than that about that situation

my freshman year ex wont get over me and im terrified
