Game crashes when mapping

So, over the last few weeks, I noticed that my game would crash initially what I thought was random or due to the fact im playing on an old Xbox One S. Well, after trying to pin it down the last couple of days, I noticed that it only happened when I would begin to survey an area. Well, after replicating the crash a few times, I figured at least I figured out what the problem was. Does anyone know if there's a change in settings that can minimize this problem, or am I stuck without mapping on long play through?
