Wondering if other women founders are thinking about AI discoverability yet
I run a small renovation company and recently a few clients mentioned they found me through ChatGPT when asking about kitchen remodel costs in our area.
That caught my attention so I tested it, asked Claude to find a roofer that takes online booking for emergency repairs. It browsed several local sites and came back saying none of them could handle that, "these sites require phone calls, no online booking available."
It made me wonder: as more people use AI to research and recommend services, are businesses with AI-friendly websites going to get preference? And the rest of us become invisible to this whole channel?
We already wear so many hats as founders, marketing, ops, sales, and this feels like another thing to figure out. But it also feels like a first-mover opportunity while most businesses haven't noticed yet.
Curious if anyone else has thought about this or seen customers coming through AI recommendations?
