lizards in dreams

i’m terrified of lizards irl but i’ve begun dreaming of lizards crawling on me, jumping on me and more very often, to the point that if i see one or hear them being mentioned, i begin getting scared of dreaming of them. my mother would often say that dreaming of lizards or reptiles signifies that you are gaining enemies, or negative energy in your atmosphere but i don’t know what this is based off of, and im someone that pays very great detail to my dreams as i’ve had dreams come true or reveal secrets to me many times. any ideas on what lizards could mean?
