Getting absolutely tortured on Rookie mode in NBA 2K26. Brand new to the game, please help (Legit need advice)

Hey guys, I just started playing the game. I'm a total beginner, my MyCareer character is a brand new build, and I’m playing on Rookie (the easiest) mode—but the game is straight-up torturing me. I’m listing the absolute nonsense I'm dealing with below because I'm losing my mind:

​The Green Window is a Joke: I’m wide open, nobody is near me, my player isn't even tired, but the green window on the shot meter looks like it's only 3% to 5% wide. To make it worse, as soon as I pull up for a shot, that tiny green area shrinks even more mid-air, dropping to like 1%. Why on earth does a wide-open shot window shrink mid-air on the easiest difficulty? How am I supposed to green anything?

​Offense is Non-Existent, I Can't Drive: Since I can't shoot, I try to drive to the paint, but the AI defense clamps me so hard I can't even take a step. Shots don't drop, layups don't go in. I literally cannot score a single point.

​My Own Teammates Won't Pass and Just Stand There: I play SG (Shooting Guard), and my teammates never pass me the ball. They just stand around on the court, staring blankly. Everyone just lines up outside the 3-point line doing absolutely nothing, waiting for a pass. Nobody moves.

​The Opposing Team Plays Like the Prime Bulls: While my team stands there like idiots, the opponent grabs every single rebound, passes flawlessly, and sets perfect screens on every single possession. I feel completely left alone against the AI on Rookie mode.

​Can't Even Touch the Opponent on Defense: When the opponent is on the attack, the exact millisecond I press X (Square) to steal, it is an instant FOUL. Every single time I reach, the whistle blows. How am I supposed to steal the ball from this guy?

I'm at the very beginning of the game, playing on Rookie, but it's completely unplayable. Is there a trick, a setting, or a tactic to stop the green bar from shrinking mid-air, to get my team to actually pass, or to steal without fouling? I already changed "Shot Timing Visual Cue" from Push to Set Point, but it's still making me lose my mind.

Is it normal to be this completely helpless on the easiest mode just because my player's overall rating is low? What do I need to do? Please give me some advice
