I have a very close friend, known each other for a decade. We used to be extremely close, hung out all the time just the 2 of us, also worked together on a 2 man team and had such a great time. I left the team, but we kept up our friendship outside of work. Friend A.

Friend B is someone we both also know from work, who joined our board game nights and eventually started joining a bunch of hobbies we did together, one of which is knitting. Im not ancient, just dig the fiber arts. Anyway, im more of a social knitter, and the two of them have blossomed into avid knitters together. Cool.

Whats not cool is that every single time I want to see friend A now has to also involve friend B, except these days I feel like I'm a third wheel on their friendship. This afternoon I got the above text, where friend B (YET AGAIN) mentions private plans they have together, and friend A tries to rescue it by inviting me last minute.

I had a baby this year, have been on mat leave for 10 months so admittedly im not always able to hang. But they leave me out a LOT now, for example I found out they went on a trip to a different province together when friend B put it into our 3 person group chat :/

Doesnt feel good, and honestly its starting to feel malicious on the part of friend B. Clearly they have a private chat where they plan these things, so why does she keep bringing it up in our group chat? Feels very mean girl to me, tbh, but she is also a lovely, mature person so I feel crazy for even feeling that way. She is in her 50s, other friend is 40s, im in my 30s.

I kind of want to call it out, or at least point out that no, I wont be attending and its rude/makes me feel shitty when friend B does this / its not polite to speak about stuff around people who werent invited.

The other part of me wants to ignore it, not answer.

And of course, inside I feel sad and quite jealous. I really like them both, im sad about the loss of closeness with friend A, and feel like Ive been replaced. AIO? 

AIO invited for a pity hangout... yet again, because one of them is rude and talks about plans I'm not invited to in front of me. Kind of want to call it out.
