lost my voice to the point where i can only whisper. how long until i regain it??

long story short im the director my school’s musical and a combination of being sick and yelling at everyone during dress rehearsal made me lose my voice. tuesday, i could still speak but only croakily, but the next day i was down to a whisper. it’s now thursday and no better. i’ve beeen on vocal rest since yesterday but yesterday was show day and im directing so you can imagine how that went.

tldr: my mom is super worried that now that it’s day 2 and no improvement, ive lost my voice ”for good” or at least for the next two weeks and lowk she is getting to me. please tell me we’re both crazy and with proper rest, hydration, steam, etc. i will be better by monday 🙏
