Rocko completed his 3-week board & train on Monday.

He worked hard. He learned. He showed everyone how good of a boy he could be.

Maybe, in his mind, if he trained hard enough, someone would finally see him.

He graduated… but no one came.

Today, Rocko got groomed. Fresh bath, clean coat, handsome as ever. Maybe this would be the day someone noticed him.

But still, no one came.

Tonight, Rocko is sleeping alone in a compound.

Not because he’s done anything wrong. Not because he isn’t loving enough. Not because he isn’t worthy of a family.

Simply because no one has chosen him yet.

While other dogs curl up on couches, stretch out on warm beds, and fall asleep next to their people, Rocko waits.

He has been waiting for over 8 months.

This is a dog who lost the only family he knew. A dog who ended up on the euthanasia list. A dog who has done everything we’ve asked of him since the day we rescued him.

And somehow, despite all of that, he still greets people with a wagging tail and hopeful eyes.

Rocko is estimated to be 7–9 years old, low energy, dog-friendly with proper introductions, and happiest when he’s sunbathing or leaning into someone for affection. He’s not asking for much.

Just a couch.

A bed.

A person.

A home.

We promised Rocko we wouldn’t give up on him. Please help us keep that promise.

Rocko did everything right. He still doesn’t have a home. [Los Angeles, CA]
