Should my friend be the gf of her exe's enemy?

So my friend 21f is in college ri8 now and she had a break up 3 months ago.... it was a tough breakup for her cuz that guy was putting a lot of effort but meri friend ko feeling nhi aati thi lekin itne efforts dekh ke she went on to date him but after 1 year or so he started behaving very cringe like sticking around with her ..overloving type and various other thing so sh felt uncomfortable and left him

the crazy thing is after 3 months she now has a crush but that guy is her exe's enemy type like her ex doesn't use to like him at all and vice versa and both are rivals of each other but she likes him a lot and he also seem to like her cuz I've seen him staring at her face for some times when our professor's teaching..but she is confused whetrr it will be good to go with him or not

She asked for my advice so I said that he dresses very well smells good and plays basketball too and he is hot so she should go with him but she is thinking it will be morally wrong and her ex will be completely broken by seeing this...what should she do? Did I give her the right advice to go with him and leave these thought?
