I really want to become a patent lawyer! What are some things you like about your job?

My background is in CS, and I've worked in the industry for a few years. I've wanted to become a lawyer for a while now, I've been prepping for the LSAT and hope to get in somewhere this coming cycle! My goal is to use my tech background to become a patent lawyer. What are some things you like about your job? Do you feel valued and/or well compensated? What are some things you wish you knew before you knew what it was like to be a patent lawyer?
