Screaming Inputs in FL Studio Mixer | USB Mic
Hello everyone. I was wondering if screaming USB microphones was an issue someone happens to know how to fix, because admittedly... I tried "trusting" Microsoft Copilot... and promptly remembered why I don't use it for questions anymore.
In short: I have a TONOR TC130+ Condenser mic fresh from the box, but whenever I use it as an external input for FL Studio, I blast my ears out with high pitched screams and whines. Not fun!
I think it's digital feedback, but all I found on ImageLine's site was to turn off external monitoring... which means my mic doesn't get through defeating the purpose of having it in the first place. The user manual mentions recording with USB Mics but doesn't mention anything about hearing damage occurring or how to fix it... . I'm hoping to use this for custom-built voice changers using the mixer and virtual cables, so any advice on ways to troubleshoot this or fix this are greatly appreciated.
This only occurs with FL Studio, no other application I've tested (Windows Sound Settings, Sound Recording, Discord, OBS) have this issue. It's only FL Studio.
If it matters, I'm using FL Studio v25.2.5 [build 5319], just updated it today actually.
To recreate what I'm doing, I just have my mic sitting peacefully next to me, I have headphones on, and whenever I hit the dropdown for "Audio Input Source" and change it from "(none)" to anything else: screaming. Only other changes I can see are the mixer track turning purple, and the red "Record To" dot turns on. I don't touch anything else. I have FL Studio ASIO with 512smp buffer length, 44100Hz sample rate, 24-point sync resampling quality.
