I recently downloaded a shortcut for downloading vids from Twitter. Idk how but the author has this nested list action that I’ve never seen before, any one know what’s going on?!

When I asked ai it said this:

What you’re seeing is probably one of a few “hidden” structures in Shortcuts that aren’t obvious from the editor UI.
If a List action appears to contain a dictionary that expands with nested fields, the author likely created it using one of these methods:
**1. The List contains actual Dictionary objects**
A List in Shortcuts doesn’t have to contain only text. Each item can be:
Text
Number
Image
File
Dictionary
Another List
For example:
\[
  {
"name": "John",
"age": 25
  },
  {
"name": "Mary",
"age": 30
  }
\]
In Shortcuts this would be:
List
 ├─ Dictionary
 │   ├─ name: John
 │   └─ age: 25
 └─ Dictionary
├─ name: Mary
└─ age: 30
Normally you can’t directly add a Dictionary inside a List through the List editor UI. But if the shortcut was:
imported,
generated programmatically,
edited with a tool like Scriptable,
or built in an older version of Shortcuts,
the structure can exist.

**2. Magic Variables preserve object types**
A common trick is:
Dictionary
↓
Add to Variable
↓
List
When you insert the Dictionary as a Magic Variable into the List, the List item remains a Dictionary object rather than becoming text.
The List action may then show an expandable arrow.

**3. The shortcut file was modified externally**
Many advanced shortcut authors edit the .shortcut file directly.
Tools such as:
Scriptable
Jellycuts
CherriLang
Shortcut source editors
can create structures the Shortcuts editor doesn’t normally let you build.
When imported, Shortcuts accepts them and displays them correctly.
This is how some people create:
nested lists
nested dictionaries
custom menus
complex JSON-like data structures
that seem impossible to make manually.

Nested List array??!
