Question about the Remake and the Colony in the endgame (Spoilers)

Havent played the remake yet.

Did they add additional content to the endgame after the Invocation and the big reveal? In the original there weren't any changes to how people in the swamp camp went about their lifes when they really should have been.

Also did the later chapters get more content in form of sidequests, or is it just as main story focused as the original?
