Well it’s been over a year so here’s my update

Over a year ago I posted here a few times about how I was addicted to slots/blackjack and I wanted to give poker a try. I remember posting about my first experience then for reasons unknown I thought about it posting updates here and there but I never did.

I wanted to share an update with you all.

I haven’t played any online slots or blackjack since.

I am still playing poker, it’s become my passion, my obsession, my wife and life.

I play between 30-80 hours a week. Cash games only all the way up to the biggest games in my town, which is 2/5 NL. I live in a mid size city, metro area population of under 500k so not really a town but it has small town feels mostly.

I get hit with the “I have no idea what you have” at the table multiple times a week. I have a good reputation as a skilled vet now.

I am looked up to by many other players. I am seeked out for advice and to share stories about the game. It’s not uncommon for me to be sitting somewhere outside the casino and another player engages in poker discussion with me.

I love my life today. It’s eat, sleep and poker.

Now to the real meat and potatoes, the financials. I’ve been record keeping with excel since starting this journey and new career. In the last 12 months I have profited $41,200 ish.

Life update wise, In the last 2 months I have bought a car, 8 months ago I moved into an apartment that I live alone with no roommates. Life is good.
