What doesn't get talked about enough when people recommend Astoria?

Astoria gets recommended all the time, usually for good reasons, food, transit access, community, etc. but while looking into the neighborhood, I've noticed there are a lot of quality of life things that don't really come up in the usual discussions. I've been using StreetEasy for listings and StreetSmart to look into building histories and it's made me realize there can be a pretty big difference from one block or building to the next. For people who have lived here for a while, what are some things that don't get mentioned often enough?

Could be noise, construction, sanitation, flooding, parking, management issues, nightlife or anything else you only learn after spending time in the neighborhood.
