Mad thought....

So, I'm in the middle of writing a fanfic. It still follows the shows canon, just with changes for my OC to fit in.

You know the way Esther wanted to put her kids into new bodies, to allow them to live a mortal life?

WHAT, ACTUALLY, WAS STOPPING HER FROM JUST SAYING THAT TO GET THEIR GUARD DOWN AND, THEN, LIKE, KILL THEM ALL AFTERWARDS?

Okay, Finn most likely would get to live. Kol, **maybe**. But think about it for a second.

TVD, season 3, she wanted them dead because "its been a thousand years, no one should live that long" so what was actually stopping her from finding the mortal bodies, the "suitable" bodies for them, people that no one would miss, then just **click** they're dead.

Because listen to Elijah in episode 8. He said, that even to him, Esther's plan had appealed to him. He **did** want a baby of his own. That is why he fought so hard for Hope in the first place, because he had **always** wanted a baby, but never spoke of it. Rebekah made her wants vocal, but Elijah kept it to himself.

What, truly, was stopping Esther from luring them in with the idea of being human, just to rid the world of them?

I know its a mad thought, as I stated in the title, it's just something I was thinking about....
