I just got served, now what?

I am being sued by my former credit union for 24gs. I have 35 days to respond. I’m currently in the process of moving from FL for a new job and wanted to wait until I established residency in my new state before I file CH.7 since our total household income will drop by 50%.

Is there any way to hopefully delay garnishment? How likely would it be to enter a payment plan that won’t be $500?

On a side note, the process server was super nice, and couldn’t thank me enough for actually talking to him.
