Curious how many people here have ever seen live improv comedy?

I'm one of the performers in a group called Howdy Stranger, and this weekend we're bringing a show to the Barrymore Film Center. The format is basically Whose Line Is It Anyway? Everything is made up on the spot from audience suggestions.

I've always wondered whether people who haven't seen improv assume it's rehearsed beforehand. In reality, we have no idea what's about to happen, which is part of what makes it fun (and occasionally terrifying). Whatever you shout, we have to roll with it.

Any improv fans in the group?
