A girl’s dream came true
Tonight will stay with me forever.
What started as a silly teenager’s crush slowly became something much deeper. I spent years finding excuses to be around him, stealing moments of attention, convincing myself that one day he might look at me the way I looked at him.
And somehow, tonight, it finally happened.
Everything about it should feel wrong. He’s older than me. He’s family. He has a wife and children. If someone had written down all the reasons why this could never happen, I’d have agreed with every single one of them. But feelings aren’t always sensible, and mine for him never have been.
To his credit, he spent years being the responsible one. Whenever I pushed too close, he pulled back. Whenever I hinted at what I wanted, he reminded me why it could never be. He tried to protect both of us from crossing a line.
But people aren’t strong all the time. Aren’t they?
This evening he rang me unexpectedly. He’d lost his job, and after a big row with his wife, he sounded exhausted. Defeated, almost.
We met at a pub. I mostly listened while he talked about all the things that had been weighing him down for months. When he finally ran out of words, I reached across the table and told him I’d always be there for him.
On the uber ride back to my flat, he took my hand. Neither of us said much. We just sat there in silence while his fingers remained wrapped around mine.
By the time we reached my place, neither of us was pretending anymore.
I led him to the bedroom. When he kissed me, years of imagining that moment suddenly became real. Everything else seemed to disappear. There were no explanations, no promises, no discussions about consequences. Just two people giving in to something they’d both been fighting for far too long.
The moment he entered my body, the whole world stopped. He buried his face in my shoulder and breathed heavily. Every thrust was deep and firm. As we both reached climax, I wrapped my legs around his waist, making sure that part of him will always remain in me.
Afterwards, we lay together in the darkness, neither quite knowing what to say.
It still feels surreal as I’m writing this now while he sleeps soundly by my side.
Maybe tomorrow everything will come crashing down. Maybe we’ll regret it. Maybe nothing will ever be the same again. But we leave those questions to tomorrow.
Tonight, for the first time in five years, he’s here beside me. He belongs to me.
And right now, that feels like enough.
