How do you handle feeling “out of sync” emotionally with your spouse?

Lately, I’ve been noticing something that’s been nagging at me. I’m naturally someone who dives deep into emotions and tries to process things thoroughly, whether it’s a small disagreement or bigger life decisions. My spouse, on the other hand, is much more easy-going, they tend to move on quickly and don’t dwell on things the way I do.

At first, it felt like a good balance. I’d worry less because they weren’t overthinking, and they seemed to appreciate my attention to detail. But now I’m starting to feel like I’m carrying more of the emotional weight in our relationship, and it’s creating tension I don’t know how to handle. I don’t want to pressure them to be different, but I also don’t want to feel alone in the emotional labor. I’m curious, how do other couples navigate situations like this? How do you maintain connection and fairness when your emotional rhythms just don’t match?

TL;DR: I process stress and emotions deeply, my spouse doesn’t, and I’m worried the imbalance might create resentment. Looking for advice on how to handle differing emotional styles in a marriage.
