Is it me (30M)? đź‘€
I recently started dating again in January after being married for seven years and going through a divorce. I’ve noticed that I tend to attract and be attracted to women who are younger than me (roughly 22–29).
I’ve connected strongly with a few different women, but I keep running into the same issue…they eventually start to pull back for very similar reasons. I often hear some version of, “This seems too good to be true,” or that the way I show up makes them feel like something bad is gonna happen soon with me. Others have said they get in their own heads because of how quickly their feelings are developing for me.
I’m naturally very nurturing and attentive. I go out of my way to show that I’m thinking about the person I’m dating…flowers, gift cards, random messages of affirmation, things like that. I’m just a very intentional and thorough lover, and I’m not sure that’s something I can change.
I’m mostly looking for a female perspective. Is there anything I can do differently to help ease these concerns?
