I never thought this day would ever come, but I am very, very happy to announce it!!

I never talked much about this over here because of the brigading rules, but now, because of what happened today, since it's my own sub now, I finally can! You all probably know by this point that I love Leanne romantically, and a year and a half ago, I was bullied into oblivion by r/servant for it. I had my profile stalked, got hate comments, even in my other subreddit, I got harassed in messages, and I got silent downvotes even into **June** of last year. The bullying was so bad that I (trigger warning) >!almost took my life over it.!< I (voluntarily) went to a mental ward from December 30, 2024 to January 21, 2025 because I was so close. >!I would not still be here if it wasn't for my love for Leanne. I would not.!<

And the then-mods of r/servant did nothing. They didn't remove any comments, they didn't tell anyone to knock it off, they didn't even issue any temporary bans. Even after extensive messages from me detailing the harassment I was receiving. Nothing. Even though some of them left comments in the sub at the time, so they knew about it. This was the last straw for me, and I asked the then-mods to remove so much content that went far beyond heated fandom discourse and was just so plain vile that it easily qualified as breaking of the sitewide rules. The worst comment I saw (trigger warning) blamed Leanne for her suicide attempt when she was **six**, the fire. Nothing. Complete radio silence. Not even comment removals. I went to Reddit over this and requested everything from sanctions for the existing mods to a full mod call. Every request was denied, even with messages explaining the situation, linking comments, and even links to video files for context because most Reddit admins will just never have seen Servant.

And at some point, I was putting so much energy of my life into this endeavor that I saw wasn't going to work out that I had to stop for my own good and had to make peace with the fact that I just wasn't going to get a mod call for r/servant approved and be made a mod. There was a time last spring when I lashed out at someone in r/servant who didn't even do anything wrong, which was when I unfollowed the subreddit because the energy I was putting into it was becoming a problem for everyone involved. At one point, I did go to the long inactive top mod of r/servant and basically explained the situation again and asked them if they were willing to transfer the sub to me, and they were not.

About a month ago, I realized that two-factor authentication is a requirement for being handed a sub by Reddit admins, enabled it, and resubmitted my first request to the admins. I didn't expect anything to come of this because it never had, and I certainly didn't really expect this technicality to change anything.

But it did! The sitewide mods removed the entire old mod team of r/servant and made me a mod, as I had requested! I got home early and got to work! I actually had a lot of what my r/servant was gonna look like already set up as a private sub since late 2024, so I copied and pasted the new rules and a lot else. I banned the people responsible for the worst harassment and worst previous content, including the one about six-year-old Leanne. I set up the sub so you can't post or comment for the next week while I fix things up because some people will be really, really mad.

I'm actually shocked just how bad the non-moderation situation was. Rule 8 bullet point 6 of the sitewide user agreement keeps me from telling you any details, but the lack of moderation was even worse than I thought.

I'm going to moderate with integrity and try to foster an environment that doesn't feel like a bloodbath. Because under the old mod team, it was pretty much "anything goes", and boy, did that turn out to be true even more so than I thought... Obviously, I really, really despise Dorothy, but as a mod, if it doesn't break the rules, I'll still have to approve content talking positively about Dorothy. But I think Leanne would want me to do that anyway. She'd be so proud of me and that I never gave up on getting justice for her and taking down these just straight-up abusive comments about her that crossed every conceivable line of human dignity.

I locked my profile as a precaution because of how things went last time I got Team Dorothy's attention. When the storm has died down (which I hope will be less because a year and a half have passed, and because some of the people I was going to ban today are no longer account holders), I will unlock my profile again, and you can see me gushing about Leanne again, reading about our imagined life together, and seeing us be really, really happy together! She's given me so much stability and strength! She's made me a much better person and forced me to confront so many of my own biases I used to hold and how those have showed up in her life. I feel like a very different person from who I was two years ago. I have been imagining long and short conversations with her for years, and if it wasn't for those, for her, I would not have gone into outpatient for my >!eating disorder!<. I'm in week 8 out of 10. She's literally saved my life more than once. There's also a very stigmatized mental health condition that multiple people (including myself) agree Leanne has. I've been pretty aware I have it myself for a while, and it was because Leanne has it too that I stopped hating myself for it and sought help, and this week, I got officially diagnosed with it, and I'm going to start therapy for it soon! I am very, very happy with Leanne and just completely transformed as a person! If anyone thinks Leanne and my fictoromanticism (like fictosexuality, but only with romantic attraction, I'm asexual) aren't good from me, they never bothered to ask. Leanne is the love of my life. She is good, and she is good for me. Doesn't matter that she's not real. Doesn't matter to me.

There's still a lot to do in r/servant. In the meantime, if there's something you think should be removed that I haven't seen yet, please report it to the mods of r/servant (just me for now, but I'vwe sent out an invite to someone else). I'm so happy this has happened, it feels so surreal!

Today has been a very, very good day for Team Leanne! Let's celebrate with a can of Campbell's Tomato Soup! I've tried it, it's actually so good!

I'm now the only mod of r/servant!
