Hi everyone,

My boyfriend is applying for a German Schengen visitor visa from VFS Bangalore to attend my graduation ceremony in Berlin.

Timeline:
Visa appointment: 18 June
Flight to Frankfurt: 7 July
Return flight: 19 July

Do you think this timeline is realistic? Has anyone recently applied through VFS Bangalore and received the visa within this period?

Also, I am the host in Germany. I have:
An official graduation invitation from my university inviting him as my guest.

A personal invitation/accommodation letter.
My rental agreement showing that he will stay with me.

My internship contract and payslips.
However, I have one concern.

My student residence permit expired on 10 May, and I am currently applying for a Job Seeker Residence Permit. My appointment with the Ausländerbehörde is on 16 June, two days before his visa appointment.

I expect to receive some official document/confirmation at that appointment while my new permit is being processed.

Would that temporary document or application confirmation be sufficient to attach with his visa application as proof that I am legally residing in Germany? Has anyone been in a similar situation?

His application will also include:
Employer NOC and approved leave
Bank statements and salary slips
Travel insurance
Round-trip flight tickets
University invitation letter
Accommodation invitation from me

Has anyone faced a similar situation or have any advice?
