1. Ganesh smaran.  

2. After Ganesh smaran, chant your Ishta Kavach once (kabach which you recite before starting your daily sadhana).  

3. Light a diya filled with mustard oil, using five wicks; place the lamp so the flames face your own face.  

4. Offer bhog: five red items (for example, five red apples or five tomatoes). Do not eat the bhog offered to the Mata.  

5. Prepare a cup of water mixed with jaggery. Place the filled cup before the Mata and an empty cup beside it. Pour the liquid from the filled cup into the empty cup while chanting “Om Pratyangire Swaha” three times — the filled cup must be emptied within the three chants. Do not consume this jaggery water; it is an offering.  

6. Recite the Pratyangira Stuti a minimum of 5 times, in an odd number of repetitions (5, 11, or 21 times). Note: always choose an odd number; select 5, 11, or 21 depending on how severe the trauma is and how strongly it affects you.  

7. Chant “Om Pratyangirayai Namah” on your mala 108 names - 1/3 /5 Malas

8. Recite the 108 names of Ma Pratyangira 

9. Meditate (dhyan) upon the Mata — this is mandatory and non‑negotiable. Meditate for a substantial period to absorb Her energy, bring before Her your traumatic memories, and allow Her to remove them.  

10. Conclude with the Shanti Path.

Important notes:

\- Perform only on Kaal Ashtami, Amavasya, or during a Surya or Chandra grahan — this practice is especially effective during a grahan.  

\- the vidhi may be repeated every Amavasya or every kaal ashtami  as needed until the trauma is fully healed.  

\- Do not eat the bhog or the jaggery water kept before the Mata.
