I honestly just can’t with her. She truly failed so miserably as a mother it’s concerning.

Sorry this is long and formatted kind of bad, I wasn’t able to sleep at all last night.

How she failed: My boyfriend (soon to be fiance hehe) was a genuine drug addict when I met him. Living in their house, it was extremely obvious he was on drugs. We were in highschool. She refused to help him at all, and she was calling me abusive and trying to turn him against me when I was trying to get him to stop hanging out with druggie friends.

She was encouraging him to hang out with these guys who were giving him drugs and encouraging his addiction. But she’s such a good mommy and supports her son no matter what, but she also won’t come to his baptism because it won’t be Baptist. Her son ended up doing fentanyl, she didn’t give a shit.

I told her about the addiction issues begging her to try to do something, she said he needs friends. She’s also too embarrassed to admit her extreme failures to her family which I find funny. She also failed to teach him anything, as did his father. He was never disciplined, was constantly being told how proud they are of him (even when he was a full blown addict and did nothing except get high). They never taught him any life skills at all. Cooking, building anything, following instructions, cleaning, things that are common sense to most everyone.

He can’t even use a screwdriver as a 20 year old man. I had to teach him emotional regulation, how to deal with disappointment, how to gauge self worth, and literally everything a good mother should’ve done 20 years ago. She also hates me because I taught her son how to say no and make boundaries, and not be her “little baby” anymore.

She also likes to brag about how she treated my boyfriend so much better than his siblings and was so much nicer to him because he was the baby. Interesting behavior. She also goes and spews bs to her husband, and he seems shocked to learn the truth.

She never told him how my boyfriend was molested at a church camp when he was 10 and that’s why he hates that church. I brought that up, he looked at her dumbfounded and she turned beet red and started saying how I was lying! Even though her son was the one who fucking said it to her!!!

She claims I’m a pathological liar, so she can’t believe anything I say. Sure woman. She also allowed her son (my boyfriend) to be bullied relentlessly and didn’t give a shit to do anything about it. He was beat by the other kids and just straight up abused and a laughing stock. She didn’t care, she still sent him away for a week with them during summers.

She also hides everything from everyone, she doesn’t tell her husband anything, never lets her family know of her extreme failures. She has the audacity to tell me ideas on how to parent, like lol no woman. There’s a reason my kids won’t be bums, and the reason the only useful child you have, became useful because of me.

She failed miserably as a mother.
