The colour in the show

After rewatching the show nth number of times, I’m struck by how colourlful and full of life it is. So many new shows and movies have such saturated and dulled out colours but this show completely skirted that trend.

1. The outfits. Everyone is wearing bright clothing, Allies red coat, the blue hockey jersey, Hannah’s many outfits, every outfit at drunk Shakespeare, it adds a liveliness and realness to the show

2. The colour grading of the show. It’s not toned down, it’s beautiful and bright and makes it feel like the joy of being surrounded by your friends living your best life

I think in contrast, other shows feel more dull (namely having soft contrasts and hazy filters) nowadays which is why I think Off Campus shines (pun intended). There are many, many, many things that make this show great, I just never really appreciated how much this impacted it as well
