Uncovering a hidden grave kerb in a late 1800's cemetery
Grave kerbs are a particular passion of mine- I always love discovering and uncovering ones that have become hidden over time. They're such a neat way of delineating a plot. In older cemeteries, I've seen them made from stones, bricks, and concrete blocks.
As always, I clean grave sites and look up what I can about the residents at a local cemeteries. Link to my [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/pointrevivals) where I document my work, if you're interested in seeing more like this.
The Grothe headstone as I found it.
Digging out the concrete base of the headstone
Discovering a bit of kerb nearly touching the concrete base
I use a ground probe to ensure I'm following the kerb, and digging in the correct place
