The councelor tells me to be less sensitive

Hi All,

Me and my bf go to the relatioship councelling. We were discussing the situation where I allegedly was rushing him (I said like 'chop chop I'm cold' twice in neutral voice, but ok, and he raised his voice and using negative voice said 'either go on your own or wait and dont rush me'. So I went but angry for his tone. Later he asked me whats wrong and I said he could have been nicer. Then the drama started that I'm overreacting. And the councelor said that I should have in mind the situation (tired after hiking) and just let go of it. She knows that I'm super sensitive and tells me that it will be harder for me to live my life like that withouth letting go of such things. And I just want my closest person to be nice to me - similar situations happend a lot and he knows it's always about the tone he speaks. Frankly it feels hard for me to accept that, as I dont feel emotianally safe with people who snap at me when they're nervous, instead of just using neutral voice - It doesnt feel like love for me. Should I seriously change it and be less sensitive / more understanding?
