Got a Sony DSC-F77, any ideas on where to find a charging dock / not make the date/time reset every time I take the battery out to charge?

So yeahhh, recently bought a Sony F77 (it's actually an upcoming bday present for my girlfriend), I was setting the camera up and found that every time I took the battery out to charge, the internal date and time in the camera reset. Is there any way to go around that? I was thinking of finding an original charging dock, but nobody seems to be selling them anymore. Also, my apologies in advance for potentially dumb questions, im relatively new to these cameras, my girlfriend is super into them and I wanted to give her a perfect surprise.
