Original post body:
So Anthropic drops their shiny new model, Fable 5, and boasts about how it’s included in the top-tier subscription plans... but only until June 23 before they move it to usage credits/API only.
Naturally, the model devours my weekly limit in record time. Instead of a launch refresh like some people apparently got, I’m now stuck in a 3-day lockout waiting for a weekly reset.
So the math on my "max 20" subscription is: I get to use their flagship model for a few minutes, sit on the bench for 72 hours, and by the time I can actually use it again, they’ll be kicking it off the subscription anyway.
If I wanted to complain, I'd have to battle a support bot that has the cognitive capacity of a 2015 SmarterChild, but honestly, trying to find actual customer service here is the biggest myth of all.
This hits every single pain point: the high tier price, the fast limit burn, the grueling 72-hour wait, the impending June 23 eviction date, and the atrocious support bot.
Last time I checked, consumers work in enterprise’s and I’d have serious concerns on cost and support before letting this loose.
