Trekking partners for markha valley 4 days (guided tour)

Hi, I’m planning to do a 4-day Markha Valley trek and I’m looking for people to join and share the cost.

This will be my first time trekking at such a high altitude, so I’ve decided to go with a guide rather than doing it independently. I’m planning to hire a guide from one of the biggest and most reliable trekking agencies/guides in Leh.

The rough cost if going alone would be:

​

Guide for 4 days: INR 12,000

Homestays: INR 1,500 + 1,500 + 2,000

Guide homestay fee: INR 1,500

Taxi to Skiu/Sara: INR 5,200

Taxi back from Chokdo: INR 4,800

Oxygen: INR 1,000

Permits: INR 1,000

If we go as a group, many of these costs can be split. For example, with around 4 people, I think the total cost including permits, homestays, food, guide, and transport would be roughly around INR 8,000 per person.

The planned route is:

Day 1: Drive from Leh to Skiu and trek to Markha

Day 2: Trek from Markha to Hangkar

Day 3: Trek from Hangkar to Nimaling

Day 4: Trek from Nimaling to Chokdo and return to Leh
