[F4A] 🗡️ The Assassin's Curse

I am 18+, and all characters and participants will also be 18+.

I’m looking for a long-term roleplay set in a brutal, morally grey fantasy world shaped by war, forbidden magic, ancient curses, and the relentless cost of survival. This is a setting where danger is constant, trust is fragile, and every choice leaves a mark.

At the heart of this story, I will be writing a female assassin, a weapon forged by circumstance, discipline, and bloodshed. Whether she is bound by contract, driven by vengeance, shaped by betrayal, or struggling against what she has become is something I’d love to explore in depth. She is not a hero, and not entirely a villain, but something far more complicated.

This will be a character-driven narrative, where we each create and control our own characters. Our characters do not need to travel together permanently, or even willingly. Their paths may cross in fleeting encounters, violent clashes, uneasy alliances, or slow-burning connections that evolve over time. The story remains flexible, shaped by what feels most natural and compelling.

Your character could be anything that fits within this dark world, a knight bound by a crumbling oath, a monster hunter who sees her as prey, a mage tangled in dangerous magic, a noble with secrets, or even someone equally steeped in violence such as a rival assassin or mercenary. Their dynamic with my character could be hostile, tense, reluctant, or something that slowly shifts into something deeper.

I’m especially drawn to dynamics where tension and emotion intertwine, such as enemies to lovers or fated connections that neither character fully trusts. In a world like this, affection is never simple, it is tested by duty, survival, and the ghosts of what each character has done.

Some themes and tropes I’d love to explore include:

• The assassin and the one meant to stop her

• The weapon who begins to question her purpose

• A character who has never known kindness

• A cursed bond that ties two enemies together

• The soft presence in a life built on violence

• A political or strategic partnership forced by necessity

• Trust forged under pressure rather than freely given

The world itself is alive with danger and opportunity, fractured kingdoms, whispered conspiracies, haunted forests, and powers that demand a price. Encounters may include those who challenge, manipulate, or reveal hidden truths: a guardian of forbidden lands, a predator cloaked in charm, a seemingly harmless traveler with dangerous knowledge, or those who see the assassin as either a tool or a threat.

All pacing, dynamics, and plot directions are open for discussion. Whether relationships build slowly through tension, unravel through conflict, or ignite in fleeting, intense moments, we can shape the story together.

I’m also happy to double, meaning I can play additional characters for your main character so we both get to explore the dynamics and relationships we enjoy. I like contributing to a rich, layered world with multiple perspectives.
