Been writing a story for literal years, got accused of using gen-AI, cannot sleep

I've been doing my best to find and correct what people call AI-isms in my work, which I've been perfecting for 10+ years since before Gen-AI was a thing.

Then I get a bunch of people who just straight up say that my writing style is just the style that AI replicates 😵‍💫

And THEN, when I try to use AI detectors they recommended, one of them tells me that my work is 70% probable to be made with gen-AI, and then offers to "humanize" my work.

And then I turn around and use another detector and it says there is NO Gen-AI in my work.

Varying ad nauseum until I just give up and keep writing without editing because screw this, y'all don't like my work looking to clean, that's what I've worked out.

I don't know what else to do, because polishing my shit turns into accusations, and then suddenly, when someone reads abd tells me about a specific instance of "AI looking writing" and I correct it, suddenly im dishonest and its a "bad look."
