Jackson, MI reviews

My wife and I will be moving to the Jackson area this fall for work reasons. However, neither of us have actually been to Jackson and it’s not easy for us to make the trip to scout.

I’ve been scrolling this Reddit sub and doing some basic recon, but I’d like to get some insider reviews / perspective / opinions / suggestions.

Some specifics would be:

Possible neighborhoods? (We’re probably in the 300-400 range for a house)

Schools? (We have a 2 year old daughter so any thoughts on school districts would be helpful.)

General Jackson vibe? (What’s it like?)

Food scene? (We love food of all cuisines. So we’d like a good rec on the best spots)
