Sci-fi Episode/Movie

Hello everyone!
I’m looking for a movie or maybe a longer episode from a TV series. I’ve watched it maybe around 10 years ago. This is everything I can remember:
- Due to when I had seen it, it must’ve been released sometime in the 2010s.
- It was live-action, not animated.
- It was set in a slightly futuristic world, a serious tone.
- The plot (my memory could be inaccurate…): The main character is a teenage girl. She has just started at a new school where the other students wear a bracelet that has many functions, including some sort of AI voice you can talk to.
She wants to fit in and asks her mother for one, but her mother refuses, possibly because they don’t have enough money or they choose to live differently.
The girl somehow gets the bracelet anyway in a sketchy way. I think it was delivered to her via a flying drone.
From then on, she uses the bracelet secretly.
I remember the bracelet giving her access to a restricted area in the school that she otherwise couldn’t enter.
At some point, things become problematic, and the supposed AI voice from the bracelet reveals that it has actually been a real human the whole time she was talking to it. They develop a kind of friendship.
The voice is male and sounds like an adult.
- In this world there are no robots or obvious sci-fi elements apart from the technology in the bracelet it’s very subtle, near-future sci-fi.
- I remember small very round cars driving on the street
- I don’t think the movie/episode was very well known and probably didn’t have any major actors in it.

Please help me out I’m loosing my mind lol
