Spent way too long testing Apple Reminders and found a few things most beginner advice gets wrong

Apple Reminders

I write about Apple's built-in apps, and for my latest guide i basically lived inside Reminders for weeks. Pushed it past what it's built for, tried setups it has no business running, and found the exact spots where it breaks.

Some of what i found genuinely surprised me. That popular advice about missed recurring reminders piling up into a backlog? I tested it and it's outdated. I also found the honest answer to "can i actually trust Reminders with something important like medication or a flight," a buried texting trigger that might be the most underused feature in the whole app, and the one beginner mistake with lists that quietly kills the habit for most people.

The guide covers all of it, plus the three setups i'd hand any beginner first (one of them sorts your groceries by store aisle automatically): https://iapplist.com/apple-reminders-for-beginners/

What's the one thing that made YOU give up on Reminders? Curious if it's on my list of friction points or something i missed.
