Please confirm if this is okay…

I’ve always loved a specific male name that I never thought I’d be able to talk my husband into using. I’m 36 weeks, we have no name for our baby boy, and he just told me yesterday that he’s warming up to this name and is seriously considering it.

And now that it’s an actual contender I’m like… is this a cruel name to give to someone since it’s very quirky/old school? I still love it but if you heard it would you immediately be like “that poor kid!”?
