Squats
My A1C has been ranging between 5.7 and 6.3 since substantially improving my diet. I also exercise about 5 hours per week, weights and cardio. A few weeks ago, I entered a stretch where my average glucose went up to 135 despite following my normal routine. I added 100 bodyweight squats (5 sets of 20) to my workout every other day and my average has dropped to 110.
Ive since looked at some research that confirms what I discovered accidentally. Improving activation of large lower body muscles helps with insulin resistance.
If you are struggling to stay in control, give this a try.
