Driving test in July

I have a driving test practical in early July. I'm currently unemployed and have nothing else to do. The test is over 100 miles from my home address. I booked it because I was studying there. I would go back and I would do lessons in the area where the test is. I still have accommodation in that area but it's lonely I've there. I have taken maybe 3-4 lessons in the past and I don't feel test ready. I was going to do intensive lessons (2hrs of lessons every day) but I've been told by a driving school that those don't work. I was going to learn automatic. If I cancel now I think I have a better chance of finding tests in my local area at my home address. I have 24 days left until the test. Should I cancel my test or keep it? Please help me decide. My theory test runs out in October.
