Question about Awakened vardorvis for anyone whos taken him down

Is it better to use scythe/ultor/torva or oathplate/scythe/bellator ring? The dps sim isnt really relevant because of the fact that the only hard part of the fight is under 30%.

My gut reaction after 60 orbs so far , is that i need to save up for torva and ultor ring. Higher max hit during enrage and because his defence is so low at that point it would make it viable.

Is this an appropriate way to approach this?
