Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G (MT6789) - Locked out after 72h timeout. Can I dump data via BROM/mtkclient without wipe?
Hi everyone, I'm facing a strict lockout scenario on a Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G (driven by the MediaTek Helio G99 Ultra / MT6789 chipset, running HyperOS / Android 14 with File-Based Encryption - FBE). The Situation: The lockscreen password was recently changed and forgotten. After the 72-hour security timeout, biometrics were disabled completely, and the device now strictly demands the manual password to decrypt the credential storage. The Constraints: No Mi Account is bound to the device (Cloud backup is out of the question). The bootloader is Locked. I have crucial data stored locally within a local notes app database (data/data/...) that is not synced anywhere, so triggering a Factory Reset or unlocking the bootloader (which forces a data wipe) is strictly unacceptable. My Question: Since this is an MTK device, is there any known exploit or workaround using mtkclient or specialized service tools via BROM/Preloader mode to either: Bypass the 72-hour prompt/reset the lockscreen pattern without a wipe? Safely read or dump the userdata partition (or specific application directories) to extract the database offline before formatting? Or is the hardware-backed keystore encapsulation and security patch absolute on this specific MediaTek generation? Any technical guidance or insight from developers who handled this SoC would be highly appreciated. Thanks!
