Family trip to KL – Staying near Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (Cheras), looking for accommodation and evening activities

Hi everyone,
We’ll be visiting Kuala Lumpur in August 2026. I have some work at Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (Cheras) and we’ll be staying in the area for 6 nights.
We’re a family of 2 adults and 2 young children (ages 3 and 5), so we’re looking for accommodation (particularly Airbnb) that is:

Safe and reliable
Family-friendly
Not too expensive
Close to supermarkets, restaurants, convenience stores, and everyday amenities
Easy to get to/from Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz

I’ve come across Arte Cheras on Airbnb. Has anyone stayed there? How is it for families with small children? Is the area convenient and safe? Any other Airbnb recommendations would be appreciated.

Also, my work will be in the mornings, so we’ll have about 5 free evenings in Kuala Lumpur. Since we have two small kids, we’re looking for family-friendly activities that don’t require a full day.
Please share ideas. We are really looking forward for this trip as it would be our first time in KL.
