Dealing with family members

Hi everyone, I've been caring for my 91 y/o neighbor for two weeks (**for free**). I have two WFH gigs that bring in 40 hours a week. I put in an additional 40 hours with my neighbor ensuring she got excellent care. If anyone sees my post on the Caregiver subreddit about her, I got a plan in place to get her house much more livable. But, essentially, my family has only seen me sleeping or working or falling asleep while trying to work.

I am going through the process of getting hired through the VA, as she has vet benefits. This does take a while. In the meantime, they want her to pay me out of pocket. Initially, $15/hr for 4 hours/day, 7 days a week. She about had a heart attack and I suggested $250/week. I start getting paid NEXT Friday. Yes I am essentially working for free. Yesterday I put in eight hours for her alone between bathing, housework, doctor, and errands. It sucks but I can't just leave this very old, very fragile lady to the wolves.

Her daughter is...difficult. After acting like she's God's gift to the earth for checking on her mother TWICE LAST WEEK (for 10 minutes??), she demanded I start my day with her mother at 7AM! Her mother is NOT a 7am person. I start at 9am, and still have to wake this poor old lady up. Also demanding I essentially force her mother to bathe and eat (I COOK FOR HER MOM?? HELLO??), and that I mop the animal urine ruined carpet with bleach. Because nothing says Home Health like additional toxic gas.

Also having a stroke that I'm not working on the VA things fast enough. Why is that my problem, honestly? I'm the one who took her to the VA to get he paperwork started to begin with, we can't do anything for two weeks. At what time of the day does she expect me to make these All Important Phone Calls? I worked 6AM to 12AM yesterday between her mother and my WFH jobs. She sits on her ass and whines all day, from what I can tell.

I've also been 'headhunted' by a local home health aide agency that really, really, wants me, so I'll likely be quitting one WFH gig to take that on (better pay, better benefits).

How do you deal with families?! I remained polite, helpful, and professional and essentially deflected or remained noncommittal about her absolutely brainless concepts about how things should go around here. I worked in construction for over fifteen years doing both labor and customer management so I know how to be 'likable', but dissuading a spastic adult child from insane demands is a bit different than telling a customer they can't just slap a hot tub on a two story deck willy-nilly.

Advice, tips? I'm about to bottle feed a kitten then head off to the trenches (at 9am like THE ACTUAL CLIENT WANTS and not 7am like an insane person).
